Gamma-ray Burst Research in the Gravitational Wave Era

The study of GRBs has been an active field in astrophysics over the years, which has undergone a significant boost in interest with the joint detection of GW170817/GRB 170817A. In this talk, I will briefly introduce the recent progress of Gamma-ray Burst research in the new Gravitational Wave era including the early theoretical expectation, the observational facts of the first GWGRB 170817A, the theoretical achievement and the future prospects.
 张彬彬：南京大学天文与空间科学学院副教授。2011年在美国内华 达大学拉斯维加斯分校获得天体物理博士学位。2011年至2017年先 后在宾州州立大学、阿拉巴马大学亨兹维尔分校、西班牙安达卢西 亚天体物理研究所从事博士后研究。曾参与NASA科学卫星Swift和 Fermi科学组开展伽马暴的数据分析和理论研究。2017年入职南京大学。主要从事伽马射线暴、引力波及 其电磁对应体、高能宇宙线、快速射电暴等高能天体物理方面的研 究工作。
