    Pulsar timing and its application in fundamental gravitational physics

    报告摘要:Pulsars, one type of most accurate radio beacons in the universe, have potential application in fundamental physics. As extreme astronomical aboratories, they offer unique opportunities to probe fundamental physical effects, which can be hard to observe in ground based environments. In this talk, we will focus on pulsar timing and its application. Pulsar and pulsar timing technology will be introduced. Several applications, i.e. to detect gravitational wave, to test gravity theories will be discussed.
