报告摘要: The distance-duality relation, which holds in general relativity and in many modified gravity theories, relates the angular distance to a given redshift with the luminosity distance. Angular distances are measured using standard rulers like baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO), whereas luminosity distances are measured using standard candles like 1a supernovae (SN). As the BAO ruler size is redshift independent, but SN magnitudes are believed to vary due to stellar evolution, this means that BAO can be used to recalibrate SN at high redshifts. Such a recalibration will be essential for applications of future high redshift SN data to cosmology.
