Systematic Investigation of X-Ray Spectral Variability of TeV Blazars during Flares in the RXTE Era

Our next Lunch Talk will be given by Yijun Wang(王倚君) at 10:40AM Thursday(Dec.27th) in the 19th-floor Observatory Hall (天文台报告厅). The title of the talk will be “Systematic Investigation of X-Ray Spectral Variability of TeV Blazars during Flares in the RXTE Era”.

Blazars are a subclass of active galactic nuclei, with one of their relativistic jets pointing to the observers at small angles and intense variability from several months to days to minutes. Yijun use the 16 yr RXTE observations to study the spectral variability of 5 bright blazars during flares lasting for several days, and she will talk about this work on Thursday.
