Tek Prasad Adhikari (安峰) was born in 1986 in Ilam, a small hilly region in Eastern Nepal. He achieved a distinction in his master's degree in Theoretical Physics from the Central Department of Physics, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, in 2011. After briefly teaching undergraduate physics courses in Nepal, he pursued his doctoral studies at the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CAMK PAN) in Warsaw, Poland, starting in 2013. During his PhD, he focused on studying various aspects of emission and absorption properties within Active Galactic Nuclei. His research was supported by scholarships from the Polish Academy of Sciences and an independent research grant, PRELUDIUM, from the National Science Center (NCN) of Poland. In 2016, he received the young scientist award from CAMK PAN, and in 2018, he graduated with a distinguished PhD in Astronomy. Tek continued his postdoctoral research as a Principal Investigator (PI) of the PRELUDIUM grant until its completion, receiving the prestigious "Springer Nature Thesis Award" for his exceptional doctoral work in 2019. He then joined the Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune, India, as a postdoctoral fellow until August 2022, exploring various areas of AGN physics and X-ray Astronomy. Later, he became an associate research fellow at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in November 2023 after working as a visiting research fellow at CAMK PAN for several months. His current research primarily focuses on investigating the Changing Look phenomenon and studying absorption and emission clouds within AGN systems using photoionization simulations and cutting-edge observational data. Beyond research, Tek enjoys communicating science to the public and school students through writing popular articles and delivering talks.
