UV/optical stochastic variability as a probe of quasar physics

Our next Lunch Talk will be given by Dr. Mou-Yuan Sun(孙谋远) at 11:15AM Thursday(Dec. 8th) in the 19th-floor Observatory Hall (天文台报告厅). The title of the talk will be “UV/optical stochastic variability as a probe of quasar physics”.

Dr. Mouyuan Sun is a postdoctoral researcher of our Dept.,  works on AGNs and Black Hole Accretion. The talk will be based on his recent work:

M. Sun et al., "Evolution of quasar stochastic variability along its main sequence" arXiv:1809.05655 [astro-ph.HE]

M. Sun et al., "Winds Can "Blow Up" AGN Accretion Disk Sizes" arXiv:1806.08575 [astro-ph.GA]

You are welcome to join the discussion. We will provide boxed food from the faculty canteen, and more details about signing up for boxed food are given below.
