Remo Ruffini  教授
ICRA, University of Rome “Sapienza”
2019/05/20, 4:00pm , the 19th-floor Observatory Hall
Prof. Remo Ruffini is the President of the International Centre forRelativistic Astrophysics (ICRA) and Director of ICRA Network. Prof.Ruffini is a well-known theoretical astrophysicist, working primarily onblack holes, neutron stars, and gamma-ray burst (GRB). His early articlewith John A. Wheeler popularized the astrophysical concept of Black Hole. His theoretical work led to the concept of Boson Stars. Together with his students, they established the absolute upper limit to the mass of neutron stars, which enabled the identification of the first Stellar Black Hole (Cygnus X1) in the Milky Way. He was one of the founders of ICRA located in the University of Roma “Sapienza”
