The Department of Astronomy (
http://astro.ustc.edu.cn/) at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is seeking to fill a number of faculty positions at the level of full and/or associate professorships.
Candidates from all astronomical fields are encouraged to apply, whose specialization is expected to strengthen, complement or expand the research of the current faculty that spans a spectrum of fields including cosmology, large-scale structure of the universe, galaxy formation and evolution, active galactic nuclei, gravitational-wave astronomy, star formation and the interstellar medium, high-energy astrophysics, extra-solar planets, astrochemistry, and astronomical instrumentation.

Strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education and research is a must. A Ph.D. in astronomy, physics or a closely related discipline and postdoctoral experience are mandatory. Candidates for senior positions should have an established record in conducting globally recognized research and securing external funding.
USTC is deeply involved in the Chinese CMB project: Ali CMB Polarization Telescope (AliCPT) in all aspects: hardware development, theoretical research and data analysis. The successful applicants will participate in this project.
