Strong gravitational lensing is the formation of multiple images of a background object due to the gravity of an intervening foreground object. This rare but fascinating phenomenon has been exploited as a unique and powerful tool of probing baryons, dark matter, and cosmology. In this talk, I will give a brief overview of strong-lens searches in various domains and present several case studies of how strong gravitational lensing events can be used to learn about galaxy evolution and cosmology. I will conclude by discussing opportunities from the forthcoming Wide Field Survey Telescope and China Space Station Telescope.
