Alessandro Marins (马林) was born in 1991 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and received his M.Sc. And Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Sao Paulo in September 2018 and April 2023, respectively. Since September 2023, he has been a Postdoctoral at the Department of Astronomy, University of Science and Technology of China. Alessandro has been an integral builder of the BINGO telescope since 2020, the project of which he has been a member since his master's when he investigated a phenomenological fit to describe the Baryonic Acoustic Oscillations at radio frequencies from post-reionization neutral hydrogen emissions (HI). From his doctorate, he has focused on radiotelescope optical design and its construction modeling for realistic reflectors to control radiotelescope beams accurately, pre-and post-processing data from astrophysical and cosmological data through the observational method of Intensity Mapping (IM), and foreground removal of HI IM data using image processing techniques that explore sparsity and morphological diversity in different domains. At the moment, He has been working with the convolution and deconvolution of HI observation maps for different beam modeling and their effects and polarization leakage contamination in single-dish radiotelescopes, cross-correlation between HI post reionization and other cosmological fields, and time-order-data and map-making steps for the BINGO telescope.
His current scientific interests involve statistical analysis of neutral hydrogen and CMB maps for testing the cosmological dark sector.
