Hanyu Zhang is a WCA Fellow and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Waterloo. He received his PhD from Kansas State University under the supervision of Lado Samushia. His research focuses on large-scale structure cosmology, the galaxy–halo connection, and clustering analyses. Within the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) collaboration, Hanyu plays key roles in several Key Projects and working groups, with contributions spanning the interpretation of galaxy clustering measurements, galaxy–halo connection modeling, and mock catalog construction etc.摘要:
The Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) is mapping the large-scale structure of the Universe with unprecedented precision, opening a new window on cosmic expansion and the growth of structure. In this talk, I will give a brief introduction to the DESI survey and highlight recent results from Data Release 2 based on galaxy clustering measurements. I will first summarize the latest baryon acoustic oscillation constraints, and then discuss the ongoing full-shape analysis effort, including validation through mock challenges and the incorporation of higher-order information. The presentation will provide a concise snapshot of where DESI DR2 stands today and what these developments imply for upcoming cosmological constraints.
