In this talk, I will report, primarily, two parts of case studies of nearby galaxies based on multiwavelengh analyses. The first part focuses on morphology of the early-type spiral galaxy M81 (NGC 3031). Via bulge-disk decomposition performed in 20-waveband images, morphological parameters as a function of wavelength are derived for the bulge and the disk, respectively, in M81. This results exhibit an intriguing feature and might have implication for studies of high-redshift galaxies. The other part of this talk will present a novel discovery of unique characteristics for M81's companion, the tidal dwarf galaxy (candidate) Holmberg IX. New Hα observations in combination with UV and IR archival/published data reveal its dustless but metal-rich, infant but inactive properties, which seem to be mysteries in contradiction with our common understanding. The peculiarity of Holmberg IX brings a conundrum about its formation and evolution, of which a follow-up exploration is planned. In the end of this talk, I will also share some relevant considerations and ideas regarding potential studies of nearby galaxies on the basis of WFST observations.
